Haiti Love.

Hi all,

I know many of you are doing all you can to help out the people of Haiti. I think that is wonderful!!

This past summer, I had the amazing opportunity to travel to Haiti and serve the many people in need. It was truly a life changing experience that I will never forget. I absolutely fell in love with the people there and how hopeful they were. These people had nothing. They lived on their love for their families and for their love of God. Even though I went there to help them, in the end they ended up helping me. They made me realize that you can be happy, even when your hurting. They taught me to be grateful for everything I have. They encouraged my faith in God, and most of all they showed us kindness.

The people of Haiti sleep on cardboard boxes with tarps over their heads as roofs. They are lucky to find anything to eat. They bathe in ditches filled with rain water and garbage. However, above all of their hardships, they are willing to give back. They are willing to give you a smile and a giant hug for your service.

When I heard the terrible news of the earthquake in Haiti, I was shaken. Please do anything you can to help out.

I'd like to thank my wonderful parents that made this trip possible! Thanks for sharing this amazing experience with me!
